Chilly is eager to be the best soup in Soupville.  When he starts working at Joe’s Chinese Buffet, Joe plans a vacation and leaves for Hawaii. He makes a big mistake and puts his nephew Pierre in charge. Pierre turns off the heat on the stove and Chilly gets too cold. No one wants cold wonton soup and Chilly loses his job.

When Pierre turned off the stove, no one noticed at first. Pierre left the kitchen. After he had been gone a while Chilly got cold. He got really really cold.

When Chilly was fired from his job he became very depressed. He went from being the best soup in Soupville to a soup nobody wanted. No matter how they tried, his friends could not cheer him up.

A central goal of Chilly books is to inspire children to ask about new words. I don’t know Much about cheese and had to google cheese names. I wanted them to fit in the rhyme and be fun to hear and read.
